Historical significance
The most mysterious region on the island to date.An ancient oriental civilization has lived there since the beginning of the first dated century. After a crushing defeat they had suffered in an internal war (Read more in the Lapa section) they sealed themselves away from the outside world.They had used the ancient magic of the surrounding Mokuzai forest and the spirits that inhabit it to close off any path in or out of their province.This however, cost them the potent magical energy imbued in the old forest. Since then they have been surviving even thriving in the coming decades.Living gentle and calculated lives. Recently however the non active volcano erupted (Calamity mountain,read more in the wastelands section) ,melting a horrific chunk of land and the south side of the forest with it. In present day the borders of the Fūkei province are open,old grudges forgotten,magic restored to the forest. Tourism and Immigration The Fukei province is known for its beautiful nature,man made wonders, temples and healing springs. Gyomō Village Is the biggest city structure in Fūkei, the port city is surrounded by beautiful vistas, docks and the ever breathtaking Akukamari Lagoon. A vary traveler can find a place to lay his head quite easily in any of the inns and taverns scattered throughout the city. The biggest attraction is the spring tide festival and Monolith of the greats. Tour guides are available near the city gate and highly recommended , thou the Fūkei people are kind and gentle, the city can be a maze for those who do not know the way. Ao Hot springs These hot springs are a place of high tourism by the outsiders and locals. The older generation makes a pilgrimage on foot to these luscious springs every year during the summer festivities. You however, don't have to , the region is rich with carriage services and rental animals ,mostly deer and other creatures of the forest.For a modest fee you can travel all around Fūkei on their backs |
